Ion weapons have their uses but are not anyone's primary weapon. Ranged weapons are either disrupters or energy based. So I go for bonded plates rather than heavy bonded plates which kill dexterity for example. My preference is to go for stuff that boosts without negative aspects. Atton can handle items that require high stealth while Mira covers awareness. Bao-dur or T3 should be able to craft most stuff at the workbench by the late game. Obviously go for the best you can make of whatever you are using. It is also possible to kill him after threatening him.Pretty much all of what is in here is applicable to your crew as far as armour and weapons are concerned. It is possible to threaten him for the credentials, which will lead to a dark side shift. If Surik is using B-4D4, he can persuade Opo Chano to give him 25 credits involving being blackmailed by a droid. Surik can either kill him, or cover his escape from the Station to Nar Shaddaa and can be found in one of the flophouses there. If the player sides with Jana Lorso rather than Chodo Habat on Telos IV, then Luxa will have Surik collect the owed credits from Opo Chano.
